Back to wall The final moment of a deep free fall Loosen my grip Commit once and for all Is this what you wanted from me? I held my breath as long as I could I held my breath like I should I held my breath as long as I could Let me go or follow me there Let me go or follow me there We can drop this fight right now Let me go or follow me there Let me go or follow me there We can drop this fight right now Knuckles white Ever enamored of your broken life Spitting up splinters of your own advice Is this what you wanted for me I held my tongue as long as I could I held my tongue like I should I held my tongue as long as I could Let me go or follow me there Let me go or follow me there We can drop this fight right now

Hear You Now 03:26
Bow your head Gather up all the words you haven’t said All the words unsaid Take a breath Hold on to everything that you have left Masquerade Always felt like a good escape To protect what was left to take The illusion is fading Oh it’s fading out And the words that you swallowed down Tickle at the back of your mouth Oh but they’re gonna hear you Oh they’ll feel you Oh they’ll see you now Make them hear you now Make them hear you now Beat your breast You held it in now lay it all to rest Lay it all to rest Lift away The weight of everything you couldn’t say Masquerade Always felt like a good escape To protect what was left to take The illusion is fading Oh it’s fading out And the words that you swallowed down Tickle at the back of your mouth Oh but they’re gonna hear you Oh they’ll feel you Oh they’ll see you now Make Them Hear You Now

I have seen it for myself and let it go I have seen it for myself All the secrets that were held I’ll never know All the secrets that were held Break free Break out Break down Break through Break to the core inside of you Break free Break down Break out Break through Light it up and let it free Let it begin with me From a single ember To a glowing remedy Holding that bit of relief Let it begin with me Breaking every cycle Light it up and let it free I have looked outside myself for what I need I have looked outside myself Every moment I was held by memory Every moment I held Break free Break out Break down Break through Break to the core inside of you Break free Break down Break out Break through Light it up and let it free Let it begin with me From a single ember To a glowing remedy Holding that bit of relief Let it begin with me Breaking every cycle Light it up and let it free

Let the light in Go on let the light in Oh I wanna see it There’s no right way I tried all the right ways No I wanna see it Now I know what I’ve been running from Know why I’ve been hiding And I’ll follow till it comes undone I’m ready to find it Ready to fight it Calling out to what I once knew Maybe I had to do it Maybe I had to learn it twice Falling never felt better I feel that wind on my shoulders there every night I make room for the light Make it bright then Go on make it bright then Oh I wanna see it Let me call in All the times I’ve fallen Oh I wanna see it I know what I was running from Know why I was hiding And I’ll follow till it comes undone I’m ready to fight it Ready to fight it Calling out to what I once knew Maybe I had to do it Maybe I had to learn it twice Falling never felt better I feel that wind on my shoulders there every night I make room for the light

I’ve never been the type to dim or play it low Born with a knife between my teeth and stones to throw I bat my eyelashes Clock all their weaknesses And let them go I’m a star in the sky Just a moment in time With a steady light ahead of me to let me know why Shining brighter than a lifetime Power flowing like a riptide Climbing higher Burn through Every single heartbreak Every single mistake I’ve been chasing fire I know Nothing’s gonna hold me Breathing in my glory I’m a star All right now Tell me that it’s all right now Even if I we don’t know how We gonna live out loud No we can’t let it run away Say a little prayer for you every day We holding on and letting go I’m going on to let you know I’m a star in the sky Just a moment in time I’ma live my life and when I die I’ll ask myself why I’ve been running on the right side Morning sun into the nighttime Climbing higher Burn through Every single heartbreak Every single mistake I’ve been chasing fire I know Nothing’s gonna hold me Breathing in my glory I’m a star

Right Sized 03:19
I remembered it before I saw it With nothing there before my eyes All the battles that were won before me I found you when I realized I had held onto a quiet anchor The weight of every compromise On the shoulders of the ones before me I wage into another life No confusion No illusion No change of mind There within me From another time Let them break our backs on walls of despair Rising up I’ll meet you there Every struggle Every generation The fight to keep a dream alive I can see us in a line abiding I will not fade or shrink in size No confusion No illusion No change of mind There within me From another time Let them break our backs on walls of despair Rising up I’ll meet you there These roots they run deep

Los Angeles 03:35
The mist came down on Los Angeles I watched the city bloom And in the midst of all the elements I said goodbye to you I said goodbye to you And oh, it wasn’t really hard for me to go And leave behind everything that I know I’ve always been a lover of a show Lift up your eyes to meet them And let them know just what you're worth Sing until you believe it Raise up your voice and hear it first Raise up your voice and hear it first I'm always looking for an answer in places I shouldn't be In empty alleys and in people who want something else from me Want something else from me But oh, it wasn't really hard for me to go And leave behind everything that I know And when I shine, you know they'll say I told you so I told you so I’ll raise my eyes to meet them I’ll let them know just what I’m worth Sing until they believe it They’ll wish that they had seen it first But only I can see it first Yes, only I can see it first

I am through with fighting Uncovered every stone Nothing more to sacrifice No story left untold Combed through every moment A journey all its own I have given everything to finally let it go Laying down the old disguise The decorated smile Echoing a moving tribe My identity Push Pull Try Find my hope of my own Final cry On High I wander home I have held resentment A fool mining for gold Praying for simplicity For something to control Every doomed evasion Each breath I tried to hold Led me to a precipice A freedom now exposed Laying down the old disguise The decorated smile A moving tribe My identity Push Pull Try Find my hope of my own Final cry On High I wander home

Plunge 03:50
You’re never quite away from it You’re never quite alone You’re never really running But you’re never really home Rise up Meet it Feel your body light Go on Greet it Sail into the night Off the edge you Plunge Just plunge turn it over again Plunge Just plunge Let it be over again Just plunge In every word that you said The truth is where you find it There’s never a right time for it It’s never where you want Control is an illusion And you’ve broken all your walls Rise up Meet it Feel your body light Go on Greet it Sail into the night Off the edge you Plunge Just plunge turn it over again Plunge Just plunge Let it be over again Just plunge In every word that you said The truth is where you find it

I'll meet you At the corner of love and lust You'll know me I'll be the one that you can trust I'll meet you At the corner of what we can say You'll know me You always find a way And with the dawn now breaking We’ll nurse these wounded souls Eyes firmly on the distance I will write on your skin Paint these words right on in Show you note for note All the things I’d have wrote Sing sweetly Weave a phantom of our alibi You’ll know me I’ll be the reason why Then meet me At the place where you are most alone You’ll show me And I will take you home

about

Taali is a producer, singer, songwriter and community builder based in New York City. Her debut album "I Am Here," on Rainbow Blonde Records (a label and worldwide collective co-founded by Taali herself alongside José James), is a blisteringly fresh accounting of growth, love, triumph, and ancestry. With it, Taali introduces a fresh new sound.

A beguiling mix of layered vocals, chamber pop, avant-electronica, and quietly powerful storm.
Born from the trademark minor chords of her cultural and religious ancestry.
Born from the raised intertwined voices of the tribe with whom she grew.
Woven with the threads of thousands of years of ancestry, gravity, and culture.
Music and lyrics that roil with such history and meaning that the personal becomes universal.

With interludes that include Jewish prayers and a conversation with an ancestor, the album is profoundly, deeply alive. The album is Los Angeles pop, Judaic harmony, and New York songwriter sensibility.
In its deeply personal fragility and honesty, “I am Here” is a triumphant rallying cry for those seeking out healing, power, and connection.
